Tips for Heating Hair Bundles
Your first priority is to disentangle the hair by combing through it with your wide tooth comb. You have to ensure that any stylish products used in the human hair bundles are completely washed out ahead of time before applying the color. You can dry the them after disentangling and washing them by placing them on a towel.
Generally, heated styling appliances can be used ONLY on 100% virgin human hair products. Use conditioning whenever it is possible. Always do a test curl first and use the lowest effective temperature level (about 180 degrees). Overuse of curling irons, flat irons and blow dryers will shorten the life of human hair. Heated curling or straightening irons should never be used on synthetic hair.
Human Hair & Human Hair BLEND Hair Heat Styling
You can heat style human hair, but take care - the more heat you apply to the hair, the more you damage the protein in the hair, making it dry and brittle. If you heat style the hair often, use a strong conditioning treatment to keep it moisturised.
Human Hair Weave/ Extensions Styling
- Use your fingers to comb through your hair twice a day (Don’t use small-toothed combs and brushes as they can pull and damage the hair weaves). Gently shaking the hair will help to loosen curls and get rid of tangles.
- For human hair, your weave can be styled just like your own hair. This includes using hot irons, blow dryers, etc. Avoid applying direct heat to the bonded area.
- You can also use hair products on human hair, as long as you wash them out frequently as too many products can cause human hair to tangle. You can also visit a professional stylist to have the hair styled to suit you.
- Visit your stylist every 6 to 8 weeks. Removing the hair weaves is necessary as they tend to get old and dry. If you have braided hair weaves and the stylist can see that your hair and the extensions are healthy, you may be able to leave them in.
